Salkehatchie Spirit Night

Tonight we had the wonderful folks from Surfside United Methodist Church join us for a Spirit Night. In case you're new to the Chick-fil-A world a Spirit Night is a fundraiser that we do for schools and organizations. They come out from 6 - 8 pm on a given night and help out in the dining room, refresh beverages, hold open doors, etc, etc, etc. It's a wonderful evening and full of good times. Tonight Surfside UMC was raising money for their Salkehatchie Summer Service Project. To find out more about Salkehatchie click here. Here are some pictures from the evening.

The dining room was a hopping place to be.Zach seemed to be enjoying the crowd thoroughly. The Cow was dancing his heart out. Here are the wonderful faces greeting you as you came in the door. And a few faces from the other door.

Here's the table with all the Salkehatchie information for the year so everyone knew what was going on.

All in all it was great evening. You can always check out our website at www.cfasurfside.com to see our calendar and know when any other Spirit Nights are happening.

The 2009 Easter 'Eggs'plosion!

If you missed The 2009 Easter 'Eggs'plosion you missed an incredible time! We had 4000 sq. ft. of sod put down in the parking lot and tons of plants to go with it.
The whole event started at 3 o'clock and by the time it arrived the kids were ready to go.
They formed quite a line to get the egg hunt started.
We broke the ages up into four different categories. The 0 - 2 year olds were in the first category. They had some help from their parents.
After hunting the eggs everyone got to open their egg and see what prize they won.
We even had some REALLY little ones getting in on the hunt!
In between each age group we had to put out more eggs for the next group.
Looks like the Kid Cow was getting chased while we were trying to get the eggs out.
The Cows were even acting like sports stars giving all the kids hi-fives and partying it up.
And here is easily the best picture of the day. Everyone at the starting spot as we said 'GO'!
Thanks to everyone who came out and spent their Saturday afternoon with us. We had a great time and hopefully we can do it again next year!

St. Patrick's Day!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!
In case you didn't notice all the green clothed people wherever you've been today, it's St. Patrick's Day. We decided to have a little fun with the day as you can see by Kyra's AWESOME outfit. I love the look on Alice's face as well.
Looks like Wyatt was also getting in on the action of wearing the green.
Kyra also did some great decorations around the store. I love the cow's halo of shamrocks.
We have also been doing free green sprinkles all day for anyone who wants them on their Icedream. So if you get a chance come on out and get some Icedream with sprinkles. You'll love it!

Happy Birthday Savannah!

Today we got the awesome opportunity to take some food over to Surfside Presbyterian Church for a birthday party. The birthday girl was Savannah. You can see her below with her friends and the Kid Cow. Savannah is in the red shirt.
We took some nuggets and fruit over for Savannah's birthday. Before they dove into the food though the Kid Cow wanted to play a little bit. Here is the Kid Cow throwing a ball with some of the kids. These are the moments that we truly love here at Chick-fil-A of Surfside. Thanks to Savannah for letting us come over and be a part of her birthday celebration!

Myrtle Beach Marathon

If you missed the Myrtle Beach Marathon this week you missed an awesome time. We were present for the Fun Run on Friday evening. Kids and their families participated in the run as well as two of our 'Eat Mor Chikin' Cows. Here is a picture of a couple of our Raving Fans as the run was about to start.

After the Fun Run all the participants came inside to eat some Chick-fil-A nuggets and fruit. We all had a blast.

The next day we all got out to the marathon site at 5 am. It was definitely early. The race started at 6:30 am and we had to be ready. We had Cows all over the place. Some of them were in the back of the Chick-fil-A truck while we had some of the Cows at the starting line. Here are some pictures. You can see the Cows in the median. There were a ton of people running in the race as this picture clearly shows!Look at how good the Chick-fil-A Logo looks on that cup.

Our Cows were there to greet the runners as they crossed the finish line also. It was a great time at the Marathon and we're looking forward to next year already.

'Twas the Night(s) Before Christmas - Socastee Singers Performance

We had a great time on Friday night with the Socastee Singers. They are a vocal ensemble from Socastee High School. If you ever get a chance to go out to their Madrigal Performance that they do every year make sure you do not miss it. They came in and performed for two hours for our customers and sang a variety of Christmas carols and other songs. Thanks Socastee Singers for a wonderful night at Chick-fil-A!

'Twas the Night(s) Before Christmas - Spirit Night for Vine and Branches Home Educators

On Thursday night we had a Spirit Night for Vine and Branches Home Educators. Spirit Nights are a great way for organizations to raise funds. We take the 2 hour period from 6 - 8 pm and give 10% of the sales back to the school or organization. It was a great night with Vine and Branches. They're always a ton of fun to have at the store. Check out our calendar at www.cfasurfside.com to keep up to date on all of our Spirit Nights and come out and support them.
